I think the timing of Hearts not having European football could be a huge bonus for them. If the teams involved don't get off to a good start mixing qualifying/qualification with league games and they get a few things right with recruitment, etc, it could be interesting. Qualification has become a bit of a poisoned chalice for the non-Glasgow teams. Great to get the money but difficulties with squad depth.
"Alan isn't with us" about gave me a heart attack.. What happened to him? Oh, walking trip... phew!!
Flo? The inimitable Ms Pugh? Thunderbolts* for life y'all! Heh, a 'Midsommar' Huddle episode, too.
A stronger league would put to bed this 'It disnae matter if Celtic win up there' rubbish, it would keep us on our toes competition-wise meaning the board couldn't rest on their laurels and therefore would have to back the manager every window, it would also be more attractive for potential recruits AND it would be great news for selling our league to a TV deal.
The reason our TV revenue is rubbish is because the the non-Glasgow teams often get eliminated by league or Ireland and Welsh teams in European qualification rounds and we struggle going from a wet Wednesday at St Mirren to UCL away ground and shifting too any gears from cruise control to maximum effort to sneak a 2-1 win.
It'd be nice to get into the UCL proper with qualifiers again too.
The trick , of course, is Celtic need to find a way to keep our noses in front despite the increased levels of our competitors HH
Laura, you'd get one name every time naming a Celtic back 4 from Champion's league qualifying.... Nir Biton
Sidenote: 2 days ago... who is good at photoshop? I discovered, thanks to my VPN-ed up YT ads - 'Angebot' is German for offer.
If you give a pic of Ange neck bolts and stitching at the joints Frankenstein's monster-style you could:
'Make an Angebot you cannot refuse'
I had to share that...sorry :P
