Celtic’s Champions League Group Stage campaign ended with only a second defeat in eight matches, but was chastening nonetheless.

Aston Villa missed a number of excellent chances (seven “Big Chances” created) and racked up the level of xG that has seen Celtic lose five plus goals at this level before.

However, spurts of incision allowed Adam Idah to turn poacher supreme and keep the game competitive.

One player racked up six pack recoveries and it wasn’t a defensive player! He also took 10 defenders out the game with pack passes and dribbles.

Which defender won 11 challenges and interceptions?

What were Kasper Schmeichel’s saves worth in post shot xG?

All this and more in your comprehensive stat pack as Celtic look forward to visiting either Madrid or Munich. Shudder.
