In this episode of The Huddle Breakdown, James and Alan dissect the "awful to watch" Scottish Cup victory against a sixth-tier side, debating whether the performance was a sign of malaise or simply "normal" for these winter ties.
Bit flat here - between my ears - and I sense on the pod.
Between managerial turmoil, transfer nonsense, a drab European competition (hard to get excited for the Europa League after running German giants close in the playoff in the UCL just last season) against a team that simultaneously is not amongst the great and the good AND is a significant threat, in the context of a season where we are struggling to make an impact on the league we have dominated for a decade plus... in the run up to a very winnable (AND LOSEABLE!) game versus our most significant rivals.
Hope Laura got home OK.
Weird times to be a Celt. Cvc... the new striker talk with Martin? I'll learn his name if and when teh signature is secure, ok? :P HH
Normally I get really excited about European games but, with where we're at at the moment, I see the Bologna game as a drain on resources we cannot afford. Can't we just say the dog ate our homework? I'm bricking it re the game at Tynecastle.
