Celtic 0, AS Roma 3 - 11th December, 2025
Europa League defeat. Nancy could do with catching a break.
Another bruising defeat and more negative variance - Liam Scales’ header slams into the top quadrant off the bar (you couldn’t have picked the ball up and placed it any better) whilst Evan Ferguson’s defensive header sails inches outside his own post.
Another penalty miss, and a couple of other big chances too.
But all too late, as a Gian Piero Gasparini pressing masterclass was too enveloping for Celtic’s collectively poor techniques to handle.
Bold changes at half-time, with Kelechi Iheanacho an immediate improvement allied to AS Roma going into “foot off gas” mode to some extent.
There remain glimpses of potential in all this, but they are fleeting, and resilience, both in the system and player morale, appears to be limited.
One player is thriving in all this chaos and was, once again, and with ease, Bhoy of the Match.
Remember: will only get League (and Scottish) Cup data here.
