Celtic 3, Motherwell 2 - 5th October, 2025
An entertaining end to the 0-0 fests. Be careful what you wish for. Nearly.
Credit to Motherwell for playing entertaining football with some style, but also for being highly effective with it.
They have not had too many rewards for their progressive play, but you’d think they’ll improve as the season develops.
No real standouts for the home side. Reo Hatate was the pick of the bunch in the first half but was soon subbed.
Liam Scales drove the team on from the back.
Another relatively unheralded starter took the BoM spoils, however.
Nice redemption arc for Daizen Maeda, and to some extent Michel-Ange Balikwisha.
