Considering the data strengths and weaknesses of Inamura, factoring in BR view - could be be played in front of left back as opposed to bringing on Yang? Playing Def Mid would still expose lack of physicality

Not my preference, as I think Inamura’s big potential outlier skill is creating from deep. I think he could probably do a job as a wingback in a back 3 system, but would prefer him deeper and more centrally.

As we saw with Calmac in CL last season, physicality is far less important to defending than team organization and effort, IMO.

This season’s Schlupp, then. What is it about Rodgers and squad-fillers?

How many more 'underwhelming' players do we need pushing our own youngsters out of the door...I see Mitchel Frame' is out the door today.

It's like the icing on the cake waiting this long to sign someone, anyone, and when we do it's this. I said in another thread that this signing wouldn't excite me in the slightest and pretty much nothing written here changes that. I think I'm officially scunnered 😏

Should have signed penrice as a back up to KT

Seems such an obscure player to be a target that isn’t a great fit but with Celtic’s recruitment nothing surprises me. With no buy option, I assume the plan to have him as cover for the year with aims for Inamura or ANother from the youth setup to come in as backup next summer?

My guess is they are hedging a bit expecting to hire a new manager for next season...and probably also a bit of scrambling from the confluence of incompetence.
