Thought provoking, as usual.

MON would be my choice over those who are being touted. However, Ange has shown he can deal with the circumstances and although NFL would not be the most popular choice, again, he is better than a club dividing RK.

Personally, of the managers I know about, I'd be talking to John McGlynn.

Also, I thought the point on Frank and performing in a well run club is a good one. I would also extend this scepticism to the recruitment of players. For instance, players who perform surprisingly well in a well coached team such as Motherwell.

The chink of light on today's pod is the suggestion that Celtic are talking to other potential managers. I don't want MON because I want him to be able to end his final tenure as the hero he undoubtedly is. Add to that, the scale of the "project" required at Celtic is way too big for a 74 year old who shows signs of valuing relationships with grandchildren.

I don't want RK for the political reasons outlined. Even without that baggage, that would not be an appointment to boost the feel good factor.

Trying to build some resilience of my own in anticipation of a shitty season ahead .
