This plots the league table based on expected points. Expected points are calculated based on the probability of points per team, given the underlying expected goals difference.
It’s what you could, and maybe, should, have won.
At the margins, this methodology will soften both very good and very poor performances, resulting in a more unified clustering of expected points.
But essentially, it’s just a bit of fun innit? Or a bit of bully, if you prefer.
