Brilliant podcast as always, the various stats mind boggling in many ways. always informative. One point i was wsiting for was how Falkirk shipped 5 goals in 45 mins v huns? I turned off at 2-1 knowing game was done, but genuinely interested how they did it?
Whenever these "what are the health staff doing?" discussions come up, I like to repeat the same point over and over (similar to how some comment on delayed offside calls and "get it into the box").
Stephen Welsh under Celtic for years: perpetually injured and unfit
Stephen Welsh under Motherwell on loan: 23 starts as CB, 80ish minutes per game
That should be one of the biggest warning signs next to the Schmeichel debacle.
As far as I am aware we have not had a club doctor for a number of seasons. Now I know they would not be as involved in physio or sport’s science on player readiness to take part in games but nonetheless it’s just another role at the club that is not occupied by the trained professional that it should be.
Talking about the Hampden pitch. The groundsmen were out cutting the grass well after the game was finished. Its been the same the last few seasons in the Scottish cup where they seem to keep the grass long.
People round me are fed up with me shouting to get someone up the field for corners. I think it takes more than 1 away from the box. Could understand with a less mobile keeper but Sinisalo has shown he can get out and command the box. I also think that it's worse than you said it's almost every player is in the 6 yard box and they still don't win the header.

You make a great point - any forward on half way means >1 opponent taken away from the box
I just don't understand why you'd deliberately make the box more crowded thus encouraging variance
