The ol' 900 minutes klaxon is a-klaxoning for Sebastian Tounekti. What do we have here?
As Sebastian Tounekti trudged off in the 78th minute in last weekend’s victory over Kilmarnock, he looked particularly weary.
It is perhaps no surprise that he has been declared injured for the upcoming international break, denying him the chance to add to his Tunisian national cap count.
Last season, whilst at Hammerby IF in Sweden, he completed 23 appearances and 1797 minutes in 181 days.
At Celtic, he has completed 13 appearances in 56 days, amounting to 945 minutes.
That is almost double the amount of first-team football he is used to in terms of average workload. The constant grind of midweek matches is not something he is familiar with.
So far, he has accumulated two goals and no assists for Celtic. As you can guess, we will come back to that.
